Apply for a Campership
If you know of a child you believe would benefit from attending Echo Hill, but whose family may not be in a position to send them, please let them know about this campership opportunity! Any questions can be sent to Rachel at camperships@ehcf.org.
The Summer 2024 campership application will be available December 1, 2023.

When is the application deadline for Summer 2024?
February 2, 2024. We will open applications at the beginning of December 2023.
Who should apply for a campership?
Applicants should be ages 10-16.
Though anyone is welcome to apply, the purpose of the campership is to allow those with the greatest need an opportunity that would otherwise be out of their reach.
Other qualifications
These factors will not affect the selection committee’s decision when reviewing applications, but may impact your decision to apply. We want all applicants granted camperships to enjoy their experience. To that end, please consider the following when choosing to submit an application.
Physical requirements
There are no specific physical requirements. However applicants should be aware that Echo Hill is rustic. Campers sleep in tents, do not have electricity, and walk to/from activities through woodland, over hills, dirt roads, sand, and grass. Almost all activities are outdoors. Please review Echo Hill Camp’s website to ensure you and your child know what to expect if they attend Echo Hill.
Medical requirements
There are no specific medical requirements. However, there are hazards such as insects, mosquitos, poison ivy, etc., that are typical of an outdoor environment. It is important to state in your application if the applicant has any specific medical needs in order to ensure Echo Hill can accommodate those needs.
How Do I Apply?
- Complete Campership application by clicking here.
- Child and parent both sign EHC Behavior Policy Pledge found here.
- Proof of income, such as W2s, pay stubs, letters of need such as for school lunch programs, food stamps, etc.
- Behavior Policy and Proof of income must be emailed to camperships@ehcf.org or mailed to Echo Hill Campership Fund, P.O. Box 5923, Bethesda, MD 20824
- All materials must be received by the application deadline.
When will I hear back if I’ve been granted a Campership?
Applicants will be informed of selection decisions in March.
